Seagull Studio, Pet-Friendly Sooke Vacation Retreat

In 2019, we bought a vacant lot in Sooke, BC, dreaming of our coastal retreat. As a fashion designer and landscaper, we combined talents to build a luxury suite that blends artistry with nature. Just 200 metres from Whiffin Spit, Seagull Studio offers easy access to beaches, walks, and Pacific Ocean views. Our private one-bedroom suite faces east, filling with warm morning light, while John's gardens offer tranquil sitting areas and lush greenery. Every detail was chosen to make your stay luxurious and inviting. We're proud to support our community with annual donations to the Sooke Transition House and Rotary.

Every detail of Seagull Studio was designed with our guests in mind. We planned a separate, private luxury vacation suite, a true retreat, apart from our own living space, so you can settle in and unwind without compromise. From the warm in-floor heating to the thoughtfully chosen finishes throughout, no detail was overlooked. The result is a home that reflects our personal style and values. This is a place where we welcome guests into our own slice of paradise.

Sure, Linda and John pay the bills, but let's be honest about who really runs this place. I've personally inspected every inch of this property (multiple times, for thoroughness), and I can confirm: it's extremely good. Great patio for supervising the neighborhood, grass with excellent smells, humans generous with belly rubs.

All dogs welcome here, because a vacation isn't a vacation if your best friend stays home. Come to Sooke. I'll be on patio duty, taste-testing dropped snacks, and reminding everyone that behind every great vacation rental is an even greater dog.
